Lastly you will travel to the Central Pacific in Manuel Antonio, where you will rejoin the Savegre River to run its rapids, but where you will also enjoy the comfort and gastronomy of one of the must see regions for anyone that visits Costa Rica!

Our guide will meet you at the airport and welcomes you to Costa Rica. He will give you a little briefing, while escorting you to the hotel, and help you check-in. Then you will have a welcome dinner in San José.
Night: San José
Our first visit will be to Irazú Volcano National Park. Irazú is the highest volcano in Costa Rica, just over 3400 meters above sea level. Later on, you’ll visit the colonial capital of the country and her beautiful Basilica. Then continue to Lankester Gardens known for its vast collection of plants, great opportunity to capture the Neotropical flora.
Night: San Gerardo
Morning hike to find one of the most exotic birds in the world, the Resplendent Quetzal. Today you will see many different ecosystems as we leave the Cloud Forest of Dota, drive through the Subalpine Paramo, arrive on Lowland Rainforest, and pass the Mangrove swamps of Sierpe before getting to the Pacific coastline. In route, you will visit an indigenous community called Rey Curré, known for its famous “Fiesta de los Diablitos” (little devil’s party) held in January commemorating the resistance of the indigenous people against the conqueror Spaniards. Finally, you will reach your next destination in Costa Rica, Drake Bay.

Caño Island is a gem of the South Pacific of Costa Rica, and it contains some of the most abundant and varied marine life in the world. The journey to the island will give you the opportunity to see dolphins, sometimes whales, sea turtles, rays and other animals!

Osa Península and Corcovado National Park is considered to be among the most biological intense areas in the world. If you like nature, your trip to Costa Rica must include Osa in the itinerary. Sirena or San Pedrillo Stations are excellent spots to admire the huge biodiversity of Corcovado, and see animals like the tamandua, the tapir or the peccary.
Night: Drake Bay
After the ride through Sierpe River and its mangrove, you will head to the Central Pacific. In the way, you will stop at the spherical stones park: the perfectly spherical stones are believed to have once marked an offshore burial ground and ceremonial site for the indigenous Diquis tribe who inhabited the Golfo Dulce area until the arrival of the Spanish. Then you will continue to Manuel Antonio.
Night: Manuel Antonio
The Savegre River provides Class II, III and IV rapids in more than 15km of ride. You will stop at swimming spots and waterfalls, if the rafters want a break from paddling. There is always time to enjoy the abundant variety of wildlife along the river (egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, etc.).
Night: Manuel Antonio
Today you will visit one of Costa Rica most popular national parks: Manuel Antonio. You will enjoy the magic of a rain forest right at beach side, a beautiful white sand beach! A great variety of wildlife can be seen at this park.
Night: San José
Farewell to Costa Rica. Transfer out to Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose, say good bye to your new friends, and…. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!! HAVE A GOOD FLIGHT HOME!!!
